The board met this past weekend to discuss how to proceed with the waterfall. The waterfall has been repaired at least once in the last three years. According to financial data provided by MJS, we’ve been spending approximately $3000 a year on the waterfall during that time. The breakdown this summer is the second of... Continue Reading →

Dry Turf in Common Areas
You’ve probably noticed the turf in the common areas looking dry. I thought you might want to know what’s going on with this. First, we’ve deliberately cut back on watering to control our spending. We are projecting to exceed our water budget for the year. As you can see from the graph below, the watering... Continue Reading →
Do You Need a New Paper Box?
If you do, ADM Signs will make you a new paper box for $55 plus tax. I picked it up and installed it myself. I didn’t ask what they would charge for installation.
What Happened to the July Yard of the Month?
If you’ve been tracking our yard of the month awards, you probably noticed we skipped July. Our July winner declined the award. To be frank, life got busy and I was very late getting out to present the July award. The declination by the July winner added more delay because we needed to qualify and... Continue Reading →

We awarded our August Yard of the Month today to the Underwood family. Please visit the Yard of the Month page to view the winning yard.

Uncharacteristically, we’re giving you about two months notice. :-) We really want to see you and your family at this event. We think it... Continue Reading →
New Street Signs
By our estimates, the street signs throughout the neighborhood are between seven and eight years old. They’re really beginning to show their age as many are faded and some have warped. They’re still effective at directing travelers and emergency personnel through the neighborhood, but they have become an eye sore. We recently awarded the job... Continue Reading →
Waterfall Out
You’ve probably noticed the waterfall is not working again. I noticed it out last Friday afternoon. I checked and found that something is causing the breaker to trip. Carolina Fountain has been notified and they indicate they’ll be out to perform initial diagnosis today (Tuesday). I’m not sure where we go from here. If they... Continue Reading →
Sidewalks Fixed
Richland County contacted me this morning and indicated they have completed repairs to the sidewalks in the neighborhood. I remain impressed with how quickly they jumped on the problems, especially in this tough economy.
