Brookegreen and DNB Electric were out on Monday to complete the electrical work and perform final inspection. Once power was restored, they found that the pump ran briefly and then threw the breaker. Brookegreen immediately contacted the manufacturer.
Brookegreen and DNB Electric discussed the situation with the manufacturer. The manufacturer believes there is a defect in a seal on the pump. This is allowing water to reach the electrical components and cause a short. The manufacturer has asked that the pump be shipped to them. It will be repaired or replaced.
Brookegreen will be out on Thursday or Friday to remove the pump and ship it to the manufacturer.
We have a two year parts and labor warranty on the pump.
I will provide an ETA on the repair when I have the details.
