Update on Sidewalk Issues

I got a call from Richard Player with Richland County’s Roads and Drainage division today.  He told me that they have inspected the problem areas I recently reported and have determined that repairs are needed. 

He said they’re entering a new budget cycle and, as such, there will be a slight delay on the repair.  He estimated the repair to take place in the latter part of July or early August.

I have to admit I’m pleasantly surprised at how quickly Richland County reviewed the problem.  I’m also very happy that they responded favorably.  If you get a chance to talk with our county leaders, commend them on this effort.
